If your a bad parent then I am a bad person because I laughed my Arse off when I saw that picture. The poor little guy looks horrified but dang, that's funny. :D

That settles it, I'm buying an SVS downfiring sub with a base plate to keep my little ones out of it.

So the story is.....

Noah, my darling son, was rolling around on the floor throwing a tantrum about something or another when he somehow got his foot stuck in the front port of my old KLH sub. My wife called me in to help and, being the kind and loving father I am, I said, "I've got to get a picture of this." So I'm running around the house, searching for the digital camera as my son is becoming more and more alarmed by his inability to extricate his appendage from the port of the sub. I take a couple of pics (the one I posted is the LEAST traumatic) and immediately decide that the relationship damage if I try and get a home movie for America's Funniest Home Videos would outweigh the possible 10k so I drop the camera and proceed to try to pull my son's foot out of the sub.

Understand that I now own an Axiom ep500 and have been looking for an excuse to take a hammer to the KLH POS that was the absolute albatross around the neck of my old HT so you can imagine my dismay when my son's foot popped right out. Noah is fine (and I think he is relatively emotionally scar free though he does give the sub a wide birth now), the sub is fine (sigh), and my wife thought the picture (and so far this thread) was funny enough to justify the time it took to take the picture.

Oh well, back to work.

Hi Larious

If a picture is worth a thousand words, that particular picture tells the story of all us kidladen audioheads trying to balance system perfection with domestic responsibility.

Plus, it's funny as hell. Kudos.

Hopefully your son does not have any long lasting emotional scars that would lead him astray from the audio world. :)
