Cannot help you with your question, but I have a pair of BP 7001s and if you ever plan on adding a sub - woofer the 7001 are the ones I would get and it may save you some money. They are dynamite speakers, and I definitely do not think they need more low range, nothing is lacking in the over all balance of these great speakers!!!! The 3000 for the center is a good pick I got the 2500 and that just fell short of keeping up with the 7001s, for sure!! I just replaced it with the new center that can keep up with the 7001s. Hope you get your speakers soon you will be up all night for some time to come, listening to all your music over again like hearing it all for the first time with so much new dimension!! lol:eek:

Agree with BobSD. I have the 7001 and 3000 for my HT and they are amazing for movies.

Did you try Best Buy? I don't know what else is available in your area.

Thanks bobsd and deedubb for the inputs. I did found a retail store that will give me 20% off the MSRP which come out to be $2199 each for the 7000sc or $1520 for the 7001. Are these the going price in the market right now for these speakers. Thanks

I got all my Def Techs for around 30% off, so 20% off isn't too bad. Maybe you can persuade them to get 30% off too.:D

I better not list my local store because they might get in trouble.

I was just listening to some music in Pure Direct mode last night.

I like my BP7000SCs a lot.:D

I like my CLR3000 & BP7001SCs too:D

Thanks AcuDefTechGuy,
Did you bought your speakers from a retail store in Southern California?

I also have bp7001sc towers and a clr3000 center and it's all you need, no real reason to get the 7000sc towers since you should have a good stand alone sub anyway. That's not to discount the built in subs, as they are pretty good, but they fall short of what a really good stand alone sub is capable of.

I agree with Glockrocks, I have a pair of 7001sc and when used as Large the bass become boomy and muddy, so I have them set to small and crossed at 40Hz, the bass is tight and controlled now (used with a SVS sub) I have not used the 7000's but have read at the AVS DT forum that many owners also use the 7000s as small, which defeats the purpose of having such huge woofers in the first place.

In fact If I could do it all over again instead of the money spent on the 7001s (I got the pair new for 1,600 long story) anyway I would've gotten two SVS NSD 12 subs and sat two Studio monitor 450's on top and gotten deeper better sound than the 7001s by themselves (for less money).

If you have to choose between the two get the 7001sc instead of the 7000sc and if you can, get 7 studio monitor 450's and two SVS PB13 Ultras and call it a day. (wish I had done just that instead of the money spent on my 7.1 Deftech system)

No. It's from a retail store in a state right above Texas.:D

Before you buy any BIPOLAR speakers, make sure you have ample space in your room. These speakers need to be 18 to 24-inches away from the back wall and 36 to 48-inches from the side walls. And hopefully your ceiling is at least 10ft. The BP7000SC needs a lot room to breathe. I think the BP7001SC does too.

Depending on the size of your room (mine is around 16' x 16' x 15'), I can tell you that the sub in the BP7000SC is extremely powerful (in this size). When playing movies (with just the 2 subs in the BP7000SC), not only do the walls in my room shake vigorously, but the walls in the adjacent rooms also shake. It's the same thing when I listen to music in 2.0 Pure Direct mode - the walls shake ferociously when the music has a lot of bass.

So why do I also have a SC Trinity? Simple. Everyone has a separate subwoofer, and so must I. :D

And I have no issues whatsoever with the midrange or high-frequency clarity. Everything sounds crystal clear to me even while the walls shake. But again, it depends on speaker placement, room acoustics and size, and the actual quality of the original music.

I mean you have to admit that "The Eagles Hell Freezes Over" CD sounds A LOT better than "The Eagles Greatest Hits CDs".
