I'm looking for a cheap receiver that has 3 component in and 1 component out. This will be for my living room and I only have some EMP wall hanging speakers so it doesn't have to push a heavy load. I'm basically sick of using a switch box between my current stereo receiver and the tv and was looking for a cheap all in one solution to get input switching incorporated into the receiver box. Again, cheap is the key. I don't want to spend more than $100 shipped. Let me know if anybody sees something that fits the bill.

Thanks,

Chris

Check your local ads and craigslist. I find it unlikely you'll find what you're looking for under $100, new.

Hey, Chris. I'm assuming that sweet 663 isn't the receiver that you're talking about. :)

An alternative would be to incorporate the switch box into the remote control cycle. Do you have a switch box already? Does it have a remote control? Do you have a universal remote in that room? Even if you don't have any of that, you could get a remote-controlled component video switch box and universal remote for under $100.

I have something that might work

I have an old Denon AV receiver out in the closet of my playroom. I have not used it in 3 or 4 years. Let me go plug it in and insure it still works and I'll let you know exactly what model it is. If it works for you, then it is yours for $100 including shipping.

I'll go look later tonight and post the model a little later tonight.

It is a Denon AVR-2500

I bought it in 1995 or 1996. It is in good working order. I have provided a link to the owners manual so you can see the rear connections. I am still looking for the remote. Let me know if you want it for $100 including shipping.

On a side note, I also have a Def Tech C/L/R 2000 center channel. It is looking for a good home and I can part with it for $100 including shipping as well.

Yep. I am checking Craigslist and any other sources people will direct me to. I'm totally expecting to go used on this...not a chance of finding anything new for $100.

The 663 is doing great and handling all of the theater duty I throw at it. This is for my living room. I currently do have a switcher that I got from Monoprice. It does the job and I have it programed into my URC remote so it essentially is a seamless integration. I'm just trying to reduce the number of things I have plugged in to the power outlet in the living room. Basically just trying to reduce the number of boxes and wires...which is why I won't spend much for a solution since I have something that works. I guess I am kinda spoiling myself. Thanks for the advice though. We are on the same page when it comes to identifying working solutions.

I checked it out. It doesn't have component connections. I appreciate the offer though. Cheers. and thanks.
