Rhapsody can suck it.

I'm tired of having licensing/DRM/sync issues between Rhapsody and "Rhapsody-approved" Sansa Fuze. What other alternatives are out there? I like the idea paying a subscription for all you can download, and I'm not getting another MP3 player at this point.

Is there anything else out there?

I tunes is now DRM free. Not a subscription but no DRM.

Rhapsody sound quality is really poor. You should use Pandora.com which streams for free to your PC or Samsung Blu-ray player. The only downside is you can't play a particular song at any time. The sound quality is as close to CD as I've ever heard from any streaming service however. I am forever hooked!

I used to love Rhapsody for my PC. I used it especially to 'try out' new music to pick out/buy the CD. The SQ is good enough for normal listening(not critical listening). But with the FORCED changes to the new version of their software two years ago and since, it has never worked well for me (all sorts of glitches and WORSE sound quality than before, that piss me off and are unacceptable). The latest versions (starting about 2 years ago) were simply crap compared to the older versions which worked so smoothly with no issues.

I suppose one of the things that I'll "miss" about rhapsody is rhapsody-to-go. I don't think there is any other service out there like that. I was checking out last.fm yesterday, and noticed they have an android app...that might work for me. Of course, I don't have an android phone (getting one in April), so I'm stuck twiddling my thumbs for a bit.

My father in law is a big believer in emusic.
it is subscription based and he gets a great deal of music from them.
They do not have all the current mainstream hits,

That's pretty cool. Any way to stream it to my AVR? I stream all my music to AVR (Denon 3808) via WMP11.
