That was a pretty short-lived ID company if they do close in January. Then again, I don't believe everything I read on AVS so who knows.

I wonder what happened to them. Profit margin must have been too small or something.

That's too bad.

Well hopefully no one will start a "Do not buy from TSC" thread.

Now that the cat is out of the bag, I can confirm this is true. Apparently the folks at D&M considered it to be too small an operation to keep going. They are focusing more on their higher margin brands instead. It's a real shame as I was writing up the 2009 POY awards I was going to give them one for budget compact 5.1 system with their TSAT1000 but for obvious reasons I had to retract it.

Are we talking D&M holdings here? I wasn't aware..........

I really would have considered them in the next year or so. It really is a shame. I hope their customers with orders already in get treated fairly.

That's a damn shame, I was really hoping their stuff would stay around.

For some reason, their stuff never interested me. Honestly, perhaps just ignorance on my part because I didn't read too much about them. Their products just looked very plain to me and didn't draw me in.

I agree their speakers did look very generic, and I wouldn't have jumped on them without more research, but I looked upon them as similar to; dare I say the evil word?, Emotiva.

Rickster71 got some towers from them and said that they were something very nice rebadged and a very good deal. Jamie agreed. Between those two, they have listened to some very nice gear. ;)

I'm convinced that bang for the buck was indeed there.
