Watched this on Blu-Ray tonight after I got home. Truely great acting, Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman are amazing. There isn't a glare, or look they miss. The characters are so real, and so interesting, that you just can't not watch them. Even the boys mom (Miss Davis), who you expect to be a small part, gives a performance leaving your heart pounding. Their reactions are also so authentic for their characters... the movie probably has the best acting of any film I have seen.

Hm, I searched before posting too. :/
It was on page 2 of the search results. I just knew that I had participated in these threads before. Who knew that I started them?

Your other thread with all that room acoustics stuff is cool though. Who knew that nibhaz had such a big brain when it comes to acoustics. I just take jostenmeat for granted anymore.

This freshly ground coffee from yesterday was way better yesterday. That dang avaserfi has ruined me for Folger's. This is kind of like listening to Chris' speakers ... going back is a serious let down.

Hey Jerry, can I have them back for a grand? :D

ADD? No, I have to go get my phone out of the car which is buried in snow.

Thread medley! :)

Wow, that's twice (at least). I now feel inspired to randomly duplicate one of Alex's threads. :)

BTW, why not make fresh ground coffee again today? Don't tell me that you bought it somewhere. You should be grinding your own! Wait, not like that. Come on, dude. Put the pants back on. Huh, at least now I know how you got the ladies.

What were we talking about?

I ground the beans myself at the store and had them in the pot within 30 minutes. Andrew is going to hook me up with a grinder and I'm going to get one of those Aeropress jobs.

I was minding my own business when this befell me.

Well, were they fresh-ground Folger's beans? Probably not. If you bought good quality ground coffee, I bet that you'd prefer it to Folger's based on what you've said. Sure, maybe it won't compare to "just ground" beans, but it's not so bad.

BTW, how did you store the coffee after you got it home? Open air container, air-tight container, in the fridge?

Nah, they were some kind of Vienna something ... ~ $10/lb.

Just in the bag I brought it home in ... paper bag with that built in wire fold securing mechanism. I kept it in the cupboard.

I'm not saying it's bad ... it's just that yesterday evening when I had it all fresh-fresh ... well, that was incredible. This is still good but not even close to having me call it the best cup ever which yesterday's was.

I wonder if some of that is because it's the second time that you've had it, and it's now being compared to your expectations of nirvana and not of Folger's.

Well, I would BDT it but then some esoteric coffee snob would just come along and shoot me down for not having cryogenically frozen my lips off before tasting the glorious bean to cleanse my palate of the polluted day old grind.

No, I have a feeling these coffee weirdos are onto something with brewing within 10 minutes of grinding. I'm sorry I fell in with this crowd. You should move along before you end up the same way. Daddy has to take his medicine now.

No chance of that. I'm not that motivated. Then again, if Amazon will send me an espresso maker for free, I'll get motivated. :D

I was just thinking this morning that my Keurig coffee maker is probably like my coffee version of iTunes. The coffee probably isn't as good as the original, but it's quick, convenient, and let's me just have one cup. :)
