Monsters Inc. Revisited

Well, on a whim me and the wife popped in this classic DVD since it's kid friendly (trying to pacify the 14 month old with something that might hold her interest) and I'm blown away with the LFE throughout the disk as well as the tasteful use of the surround sound channels - the dolby digital track is great...I can only imagine what the HD version is like. If you haven't seen this one in a while and have it, power up the HT and pop er in - you'll be pleasantly surprised!

If you've seen the comparative shots at AVS, you would know the difference is huge. What's crazier is that the very next night after watching the BD, I watched UP, and the latter left the former in the dust, IMO, as far as PQ, and I already thought Monsters looked fabulous.

Wow. That really is a stunning difference!

Very big difference between the SD and HD versions, and the SD version isn't at all bad. Definitely a great flick and if you haven't seen it, or seen it in a while, check out the blu ray.

It's a huge difference. I compared it for my sister on her new BR player so she could see and was floored. The LFE did catch me off guard a few times.

Bought this BD a few weeks back and havent checked it out yet but It might be put in front on my need to watch list this weekend

Yes, the difference between the SD-DVD and BD is huge. Quite surprising really. Glad I got the BD.

I love Monsters Inc

I don't have or plan to buy the BD anytime soon ......but it's still one of my favorite animated kid movies that parents can enjoy too.

Pixar excelled with this one....

I'm watching now actually. The SQ and LFE are improved as well (DTS-HD Master). I'm really enjoying this one. It's like it's new movie really. Very good.
