OK...it's out, who else saw it? I went to Angels and Demons on Friday because I was in the mood for a "good" theological thriller. Take one antique German underground group (The Illuminati), mix in some murder and mayhem along with a pea size chunk of anti-matter and a charlatan priest, have Tom Hanks phone in a performance, lots of Italian cops driving around real fast and searching dusty churches and you have a blockbuster.

In spite of all that, I was in the right mood so it worked as 2 1/2 hours away from reality.

i saw it 2 days ago. i thought it was pretty good, it kept me entertained :p however my one quirk about the movie was how bad the cops were at being cops. they were just generally terrible at doing everything lol. i thought the intro scene at the CERN was pretty cool.

The book was quite good. As opposed to the DaVinci Code (Which was written as a movie script described as a book), it was actually written quite well. I just cannot imagine the movie being nearly as good. I think I'll wait for HBO.

Thats my thought also as nice as it is to have the night out and so on its just one that I can wait for ,besides the cost of the movies these days makes it more reasonable to just buy a new Blu or a hard to find HD DVD :)

My wife and I both really liked it a lot. Not great......but yes, very good.

4 stars

The pacing of the movie was good, and it held our interest pretty much from beginning to end.

2 thumbs up...

Yeah, the whole thing about anti-matter is fascinating in my opinion. Over all, I liked it. Sure has seen worse. ;);)

Cheers,

I just happened to watch it again tonight waiting for the snow to stop. It's a good suspense flick, but don't look to closely at the science. The Large Hadron Collider won't be making pea sized chunks of antimatter, putting them in a jar where they're confined by BATTERIES(!!!). Wowsers; I don't think even Inspector Gadget could come up with something like that.
