For the first time, my family and I are travelling for X-mas. The wife, my mother, my little brother and I will be driving to the Grand Canyon. We've never been so it should be pretty cool. I'm not looking forward to the drive though. 9 to 10 hours from the Bay Area to San Diego, then another 8 hours from San Diego to the GC. I'm looking forward to that cantilever thing. Maybe I'll jump up and down on it and scare some people.

I hope you have a "GRAND" time I went last summer to the South Rim stayed right there on the rim we took the train up to the rim from the town of Williams on famous route 66. It was by far one of my best vacations here in the USA. I would love to see the cantilever glass walk but we were definitely on the wrong side, we did get to hike some of the Bright Angel trail and the views from there were spectacular, we will go again as there is just so much more to see.
