Is there any blu-ray player that takes a spdiff/optical/any digital input to be used as a DAC? I am asking this because good blu-ray players have good DAC inside and I'd only buy one box...

Huh? What exactly do you mean? You want to run another source through the player?

Yes - I'd like to have access to its DAC ... I know some players can be used as transports so I was wondering if there is any player that can be used as a dac to play digital PCM input from a SqueezeBox for example...

Actually, now that you mention it, there are players that could be used via USB to pass through the audio, but I never thought about whether or not it was running through the player's DAC. I know the Oppos are able to do this, and I believe my Panny BD-60 does also, but only on certain formats. Does the squeezebox have a USB output or what types does it have? I can't think of another player or method that can do this, but there may be something out there that can. You could always just look for a used external DAC.

SqueezeBox got spdiff and optical - no USB. I know I can always look for an external dac BUT the less boxes around the better...:)

I'm pretty sure I've seen optical to USB converters, though I don't know if that would work with the USB on player methods.

It shouldn't that unusual for a blu ray to have a digital audio input...

Denon older top of the line Universal DVD players used to have this feature, but it is not found in their top Universal Blu-ray players anymore.

* Anyway, you can now get a very good separate Dac for very little money.
