What's, IYO, the best overall Blu-Ray disc concert??
I own that Matthews disc (because my brother used to be quite the fan), as well as three classical discs including the Brandenburg Concertos, NYP in Pyongyang, and the Karajan Memorial Concert (I'm supposed to have a 4th, Beethoven Piano Concertos 1-5, but it didn't arrive Saturday, so maybe tonight), and I've also seen Hendrix as well as the Rolling Stones (BDs my friend brought over). I feel like there was something else, but I can't remember . . .
the best one among the bunch is the Karajan Memorial Concert. It is more challenging to the system than anything else I listed, IMO, as well.
The Matthews disc has easily the best
picture quality among those that I listed, but the Karajan has the best camera work of any I listed.
I have noticed with concert discs . . . it is best to put them on last for the day/evening. A movie is such a letdown after a concert. I mean, who would go to a movie after a live concert? Well, some of these BDs make me feel like I am there . . .
