I wouldn't dare to read all of the posts on this thread, but if it's anything like the first page I'd bet there are about 3/4s of you guys that are actually discussing this as if it where actually important to anyone outside of the Woods' family.
That woman coming on the market would be *extremely* important.

People probably don't care more because he's rich. They care more because he's a celebrity. He makes his money because of his celebrity, and there are reasonable ramifications for pulling something that people who pay to see him don't approve of. Why do you think sponsors pull their deals when a celebrity alienates a bunch of their clients? Tiger has a good image. If he tarnishes it, it will affect him.
Very good points. There is also the fact that he has pulled out of his own charity tournament this week. A lot of folks bought tickets to see Tiger, and a lot of advertisers signed contracts thinking he would be pulling in a large tv audience. Those folks care, and rightly so.

Tiger benefits hugely from being a public figure. The extra scrutiny and loss of privacy is part of the deal. I'm not saying it is right, just that it is hard to have one without the other. I think it is especially true for a guy like Tiger, who has a carefully crafted image and goes out of his way to normally not even say anything remotely controversial. When Mr Perfect screws up it gets attention.

Bottom line for me on this: I knew Tiger was in trouble when I read comments of support from John Daly. I like Big John, but he is not a guy you want in your corner on something like this.

The other 1/4 of you are remarking on how pointless it is to make a big deal over such petty things as a car accident caused by, no one cares. The only reason anyone cares is because he's rich. They don't even care about the fact he's someone's rolemodel, just because the man is filthy rich. The end result of the thread will likely result in a derail from the 1/4 group (congratulations).

People aren't perfect, and that includes rich people. If anything rich people have more demons than the poor. I care not for these events and I find it tritefully meaningless to even bring it up in casual conversation unless the story is somehow satiricle or funny (thus bringing me some level of enjoyment or purpose in discussing the matter).

Well, it's not funny and I didn't learn a life lesson from the event.

Jordan, *swoosh*, who's next?
I only care because his wife is HOT.

My guess , the fire Hydrant will be the blame as it was placed in his driveway area without the proper variances needed to obtain the placement permit. His driveway is not a public easement therefore there should not have been a public accessible utility encroaching his drive area. I see a bigger lawsuit than the divorce coming right up. Just a thought, :).

Well, with him now admitting that he had an affair (because he had no choice), I am sure the fire hydrant/city will have little to worry about in terms of lawsuits.

I've actually heard prior talk that he was one of the biggest philanderers out there among athletes. Not that I care or that I'm passing judgement... it doesn't really surprise me either. I'm shocked that the guy got married so "young" for somebody with that much fame and talent. He should have stuck to the Derek Jeter approach- play the field and bang everything that can walk :D.

Next we'll all find that Tiger's on the juice.

not sure how that helps in golf. But it's possible. Either way he's a smart guy for doing it. Agassi crying for our pity is just silly. You have millions and are banging one of the hottest and best tennis player ever.

I think the juice is in jail;):D
Well yeah, but consider the following if you will. He's a pretty muscular guy. You've got to work out with great consistency and effort to maintain that. Further, there've been a few rather emotional outbursts from him of a very sudden nature. To that we add what had to have been a total emotional meltdown and rage when he drove his Caddy into the tree. I'm just saying that now that the attention has been focussed with such intensity at Woods, don't be surprised if juice becomes a factor. Jose Canseco, I tell you is the most honest man in baseball.

Apparently Tiger's injuries were worse than reported !

No wonder he had to withdraw from his own tournament! :D

Just goes to show you.... no matter how hot some women are, someone is already sick of their $hit...

Personally I could put some of this right back on his wife for not putting out enough... How hard is it to keep your man satisfied ?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not condoning his cheating, and as stated by my woman, this was not a 1 time "fling" - it was clearly a whole other relationship that went on for what 31 months...?

Sooner or later its going to come to a head !!

So by implication your woman might find a one-night fling excusable / condonable ? Cool.
