AFAIK, Buick no longer sponsors Tiger. Well, if that guy Chris Brown can get charged, and I'm glad he did, his wife maybe ought to be charged too. Boy, I hope he's got a good pre-nup.

I don't know, if I was in his position I would tell the police and the media to "piss off" as well.....but I wouldn't make for a good celebrity then either.

Unless the police decide that he might have done anything illegal, he doesn't have to tell ANYONE where he was going or why he was going there. Even if someone wants money for the hydrant, he doesnt have to say WHY he lost control and he hit it. I don't blame him at all for not wanting to talk to the media, the police, or anyone else. Your private matters are kept private, and you like it that way.

Also, if she decides to say anything (assuming she was actually after him for something he did), she gets charged with assault for going after "the car" with a "weapon". Guaranteed.

I hope that he wasn't cheating. I'd lose all respect for him.

A note to his wife (who I'm sure is reading this) - I could free up part of my schedule if you want revenge. :D No, seriously.

I wouldn't dare to read all of the posts on this thread, but if it's anything like the first page I'd bet there are about 3/4s of you guys that are actually discussing this as if it where actually important to anyone outside of the Woods' family. The other 1/4 of you are remarking on how pointless it is to make a big deal over such petty things as a car accident caused by, no one cares. The only reason anyone cares is because he's rich. They don't even care about the fact he's someone's rolemodel, just because the man is filthy rich. The end result of the thread will likely result in a derail from the 1/4 group (congratulations).

People aren't perfect, and that includes rich people. If anything rich people have more demons than the poor. I care not for these events and I find it tritefully meaningless to even bring it up in casual conversation unless the story is somehow satiricle or funny (thus bringing me some level of enjoyment or purpose in discussing the matter).

Well, it's not funny and I didn't learn a life lesson from the event.

Jordan, *swoosh*, who's next?

All good points.

I do feel for them in that they are humans but are for some reason are being held to a higher standard.
However, The die is already cast on the publicity of the event. Some one said before that coming clean on the matter was the best course.
I have to agree with that.

And no, I really don't care. Nor is it any of my business.

People probably don't care more because he's rich. They care more because he's a celebrity. He makes his money because of his celebrity, and there are reasonable ramifications for pulling something that people who pay to see him don't approve of. Why do you think sponsors pull their deals when a celebrity alienates a bunch of their clients? Tiger has a good image. If he tarnishes it, it will affect him.

All I know is if that hot blonde he's attached to is looking for a rebound guy, I'm there.

Very well stated Adam ... Tiger has a lot at stake!
