Seems like Matt got boned.

He had the buy back option of covering my initial $950 investment plus $84 for additional parts and monetary compensation for my having been to Hurt twice.

It's not like I boned Matt for money. I know you didn't suggest that I did but I want it said that I didn't and my cards have been on the table from square one.

Alex sold them because he doesn't want a science project.

Jerry's offer was accepted because of that and I could use the money too. He really did come out of left field waving cash. ADK had it right about this being like brokering commodities. For my efforts I have actually seen these speakers and heard some others that Chris designed and built. My involvement has sort of demystified all the cabinet hullabaloo for me.

Note: I'm just dragging this here in order not to pollute otherwise perfectly good threads.

Okay, I think I have a handle on what just happened (maybe).

I can understand why Matt sold them in the first place, though he should have got more money. But he did retain the rights to future "buyback". At this new higher price I would assume that Matt will not be buying back these speakers in the future.

I can also understand why the monkey decided he didn't want them. Lower primates can only grasp simple tasks (jk). I can also understand when a significantly larger sum of money is waved around.

So, with that said...

the monkey should fork over some green to Matt.

At least send him a Christmas gift certificate.
