It's next to Crossroads Park where kids play and it's down the street from Sherwood Forest Elementary school. Is it safe to assume these are the same kids who are less than 5 years beyond having been breast-fed? I bet the moms feel bad about how they look, so they want more attractive women covered so they can't be compared.

I saw a show commercial about how the new shoes can give a woman a tighter butt and firmer legs with her writhing on a bed wearing only black shorts that are really tight. No top at all. Much more revealing and suggestive than a bikini.

I don't understand the big backlash against these bikini coffee stands. Disclaimer... I'm a younger male... though I have never been to such a stand. With that out of the way... What is up with all of these people that are so offended by bikinis. Bellevue is an upper end community but I don't see why that makes any difference. Someone quoted in that article said "Our children need to be protected from questionable influences". What? How is a girl in a bikini a questionable influence. Do these people not let their children go to a pool or the beach?

Every time one of these stands opens in Western Washington it seems to end up on the news because of people protesting. In another city, people are actually playing watchdog in front of some of these stands taking note of company vehicles that frequent them and posting the businesses name on a website asking people to boycott them. There have been a couple of these stands that have gotten in trouble for questionable activities but as far as I can tell that is a big minority.

Has similar drama been continually unfolding in other places around the country?

I looked at the links you provided and all I can say is 'Oh, the horror!". It must really suck to buy coffee from a cute young woman with a big smile first thing in the morning. Even worse would be to have to endure that in the middle or end of a long, frustrating day at work.

About 20 years ago we had an extremely attractive women selling hot dogs along the side of the highway, wearing a bikini and high heels of course.

She lasted almost the entire summer, before being asked to wear something other than the bikini, because it really was a traffic hazard, with people shooting across two lanes and cutting off cars, just to get a hot dog.

By all accounts the owner jumped through all the nessacarry hoops and got the permits. There was formerly a coffe stand in that same location that the city had no qualms with. They simply found an excuse after so many people complained. I still don't understand why so many people get so up in arms about these things.

Afterwards you might want to head off to NH where I seem to recall they've got a hair salon that's doing quite well where the stylists are dressed in bondage type outfits. Women are territorial. It's called a cat fight. The wives of the city council will keep harassing them until the issue is resolved.

I like a peaceful home myself and would be fighting this just to keep from hearing about it from my wife.
