tower speakers matched with center

I read a lot of posts that said "get the same brand on the 3 front speakers "

I have the EMP E5TI. The sale on the center is going away soon.

What do you think?

I would say if you like the sound the e5ti speakers you have then you should definitely purchase the center channel before the sale is over. The merits of having a matching front soundstage are fairly noticeable.

I agree with fightinkraut. It is important to match the fronts and center to maintain timbre ( seamless front sound). The perfect match is 3 identical speakers. You could buy the matching center or buy a third e5ti tower for the center (although it might not asthetically fit in it would fit perfectly from an acoustical standpoint).
