Can a Panasonic Plasma handle playing video games and tv watching every day. Right now my PS3 is hooked to a Sony LCD and is great, but i want to add a new 50+in TV to my living room. I am concerned about Burn in with the hours of video game playing.
I was going to buy a new LCD until most have said Plasma is better for movies and sports. I watch a lot of movies and soccer games.
Please help...

These guys will tell you burn-in is not a problem for newer Plasma nowadays. That's if you leave/pause the game for days...

i got the panny tc-p54G10 and the only thing i did before playing games is wait for the 200 hours or so break in...since i play a lot and i dont have any problems with burn ins or IR...i just dont leave the picture on pause for days !..lol...and all the panny plasma have the ''pixel orbiter''..in case you notice an IR!...but most IR will go by it self when you go back to watch normal tv!...

I've never seen an impressive LCD. To me having a decent picture is worth the risk. any LCD over 40" is full of glaring issues in the picture from my experience.

I use my Panny V10 for games. If you want to be safe, you can break in the TV for 100-200 hours first but I don't think that's really necessary. I wouldn't leave the game paused for hours and hours but I would assume your console would dim the screen after some inactivity anyway. My 360 does that.

In short, no worries.

no worries and if you feel you must leave your game on pause which i do when going to eat dinner or something just change the input back to watching tv or turn the tv off....
