I have one of these as well, picked it up the other day. It lights up but, testing with my mp3 player and a patch cord, produces no sound from the speakers, regardless of the input chosen. With headphones, and if the volume is cranked to the maximum, it produces a very faint sound.

My question is whether is it worth investing some money into getting this fixed, and what it would be worth as a resale.

sound like the output amplifier circuits are blown. Could be as simple as a pair of internal fuses on the output circuitry are blown....or they could be toast. Repairs would probably be much more than the box is worth. Even finding someone to work on it will be a challange.

any repairs costing more than these two new receivers is wasted money.

Thanks, but if repairable I would not use this myself, rather sell it or give it to a friend.

I think my Onix A-120 mk II blows either of those receivers out of the water.
