Nothing is ruled out at present... and early news is notoriously unreliable. If it turns out that there is more than one shooter, which the reports consistently claim; I'm not sure how it could be anything but terrorism.

Who'se behind it would be an interesting question. This would be (I believe) the first on US soil since the DC-Sniper and Anthrax mailings.

"There are unconfirmed reports that Major Hasan was a convert to Islam and originally from Virginia. He was reportedly scheduled to deploy to either Iraq or Afghanistan and was unhappy about it."

I'm sure other muslims in the service, and maybe elsewhere, are gonna be really, really uncomfortable shortly.
