I have 2 subs:
Snell ICS 24MKII - dual 12" ported
Outlaw LFM-1 - single 10" ported
Right now I am just running the Snell which I purchased because the Outlaw was not cutting it and bottomed out when listening close to reference levels. The Snell has had no such issues and can be downright scary.
I am going to be putting in new carpeting in the next week so I will have to get everything out of the room. My intent is to mount the Snell into the front wall so I have more seating room and better performance.
I would like to put the LFM at the back of the room to get even better response but I fell that I will need some kind of highpass filter so the frequencies below say 30Hz or so do not cause it to bottom out.
Would a SMS be the item to look for or is there an easy way to add a highpass filter? My prepro has MultiQ XT which I will use but it does not have the ability for me to customize dual subs this way.
Thanks.
