How much is a ceiling mount for Epson 6100?

I did alot of searching on ceiling mounts for front projectors, but I didn't turn up much useful info (alot of info, but not useful). I'm probably going to by the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 6100, and I need to mount it on the ceiling.

How much are just plain vanilla (no-frills) ceiling mounts for the projector I will soon have?

Any recommendations for a particular mount? I want to stay under $100 if possible ($75 ideal). Any links?

Thanks

I would suggest a universal mount, and there is a huge difference between the cheap mounts and the better mounts. Cheap mounts tend to be very wobbly and poorly constructed. Simply attaching and disconnecting cables is enough to push the projector out of alignment and requires you to realign the projector again - which isn't made easier by the cheap construction.

In my experience, I recommend going to Chief Mounts and getting the RPA-U mount or their Elite mount. Both are more than $100 - but both will also last you far more than the life of the projector because they are universal and will work with pretty much any projector.

Peerless also has a nice universal mount, but it is not nearly as stable as the Chief mount.

For CHEAP - this is the one that I recommend:
http://www.mountdirect.com/Projector_Ceiling_Mount_NPL_Series_p/npl.htm

It uses industry standard 1.5" pipe so you can extend the projector if you need to get it to a specific height (pipe available at Home Depot/Lowes) and it includes a ceiling trim cover plate. It's not as nicely built, by a long shot, compared to the Chief mount or the Peerless, but it is far better than the single bolt models which are commonly found.

This is the type/style I would avoid:

Also - the Epson 8100 is out now - Where are you finding the 6100 for significantly less than the 8100?

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm still in the early stages of researching a projector (and I'm new to projector stuff), so I knew the 8100 was coming, but I didn't know it was already out. I'd get the 8100 for sure (less expensive, I believe, and better perf.).

Thanks

I prefer this type of mount http://www.focusedtechnology.com/premier-tcm420mount.html i got a mount very similar to that one as i have fall ceiling it helps in adjustment.
Premiere's mounting system for projectors is lousy. Their mounts I have used along with Peerless and Chief and with (literally) hundreds of installations, it is the Chief mounts which our guys like best. The Peerless ones they like second best. They do not like the Premiere ones by a long shot compared to the others, and the price is as much, or more than the Chief or Peerless model, which is ridiculous.

Please note that Peerless and Chief both make mounts designed to go above a drop ceiling easily.

Chief RPA-U is one of the best Universals out there. Highly recommended.
