Yo.

Come tax season this year, I should be getting a pretty hefty refund. Naturally, I want to use some of it to upgrade my setup, and I think I'd like to start with improving my bass.

Right now I've got a HSU VTF-2 MK-3 in my front left corner. I only really have one corner of my room I can use for a subwoofer - I can't use the front right corner since it's shared with a door, the back right corner is some 17 feet behind the couch, and the back left corner is 25+ feet away. In addition, the basement isn't really separate from the rest of the house so I'm basically pressurizing my house.

I can put together some $2000 give or take a bit, and have been looking at the following choices:

1)SVS PB13-Ultra
2)2 HSU ULS-15's (stacked)
3)1 HSU ULS-15 plus an SVS AS-EQ1
4)2 Rythmik F12 SE's or F15's (stacked)
5)1 Rythmik F12 SE or F15 plus an SVS AS-EQ1

I'm about 80% gaming, 10% movies, and 10% music.

Any thoughts?

The ULS subs will be the most expensive, but will be the most powerful of all those solutions. Some other options to check out are a couple Epik Dragons, or maybe a couple Elemental Designs A7s-450s, or a Elemental designs A7s-650. You might also take a look at getting a Seaton Submersive. But two stacked ULS-15s would be a lot of power with a relatively small footprint.

Yea, my vote would be for the ULS 15's if you could swing it. You could always add the SVS-Audyssey black box later if you feel the need.

Unless you are having some serious room acoustics generated issues (and since music makes only 10% of your system use), IMO, the EQ1 is a waste of moeny.

I'm surprised it was this clear-cut! Well, guess I'll start saving for the ULS-15s. If I can't scrounge together the cash, I'll splurge on the PB13, I think.
