So I'm looking for a sub and have settled on SV Sound but am wondering what the differences in the PC12-NSD and PB12-NSD are. I generally use my AV stuff for music but also watch movies. I'm new to the deep end of the audio pool so be gentle. Any advantages to the down fired or front fired configuration? I have a Yamaha RX-V663 and AV123 ELT 5.0 setup.

The only difference between the cylinder and the box versions is cosmetic, acoustically they should be identical, or very close to each other. I own a cylinder sub, and a box sub from SVS, and they are both very nice, you will be happy no matter which one you get.

I love what the PB12-NSD did to improve my system. I would be willing to trade with one of you dissatisfied ULTRA owners. Please don't all reply at once.:p

Ultra, and dissatisfied don't belong in the same sentence together.

I don't think there are any dissatisfied Ultra owners that I am aware of.

Best people to ask would be SVS, they're super helpful.
