Replacement Speakers? (RTR G-200)

Hey everyone. I recently just got a pair of RTR G-200 towers from a family member which I was real excited about. They look absolutely brand new cosmetic-wise and I was hoping they would only need a re-foam but it turns out the speakers really are just a mess. I was wondering if you guys knew of a place to find some replacement speakers.

The tweeters are fine but the 12" woofer and the 10" passive need replacing. I don't want to just buy any old 12" woofer, I'm hoping to keep it at the same quality the speaker once was (the original woofer would be great but i know RTR went out of business 20 years ago).

Any suggestions of where to start? Brands to look at? Specific speaker recommendations? Websites you trust?

What you are asking is not possible, as every driver has unique Thiel/Small parameters. This is especially critical for passive radiator designs. The passive radiator also has T/S parameters. There are few passive radiators available.

Your best bet is to see if an outfit like Orange County speakers can rebuild your drivers to original specification. If not you are out of options. With speakers this age, this is a long shot.

In any event why do you feel reconing will not solve the problem? If the cone and voice coils are OK, then refoaming will do the trick.

Ah I see. Good to know, I'll look into the cost of OCS. As for the re-foaming issue the actual cones themselves have rotten a little bit. I'll get some pics next time I swing by my house (at college) but they have basically been sitting unused as eye-candy/furniture for years so they've rotten away quite a bit. As i just mentioned I don't have them handy to look at but I just remember them looking pretty bad.

OCS looks like it will be able to do the trick though.
