What struck me with this review is why a $4800 15" subwoofer cannot deliver strong low 20Hz frequencies.

"The PLW-15’s close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3-dB point is at 38 Hz and the –6-dB point is at 29 Hz. The upper –3-dB point is at 143 Hz using the LFE input and setting the EQ mode for maximum extension"

The little PSB Subsonici at approximately 1/6 the price and has a 12" driver
goes lower;

"The SubSonic 6i’s close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3-dB point is at 25 Hz and the –6-dB point is at 23 Hz. The upper –3-dB point is at 131 Hz with the LFE Input switch set to Active"

I would however like to listen to the towers. They look very interesting

I heard a pair of the Silver S8 and they weren't impressive. The graph shows a dip at about 200Hz and this is a bad place for a dip like that. They were thin sounding in the room where I heard them. Granted, that room is large and they were firing across the width but even from close up, they were weaker in the low end than many I have heard, at a lower price.
