Something positive for the weekend

The OP posted something "positive". Yes, the mother made a mistake, but the "positive" is that the child survived the accident and the miracle (as CraigV stated) is that it came away with only scratches. Let's not over blow the stupidity of the mother. None of us know her and we have all done stupid things...hers was just caught on camera.

Is that some sort of Canadian position?

Careful, though. GirgleMirt might prefer to "Alex" you. NTTAWWT.
Huh?

Sheep: lol

I'm not in any way saying I'm the better person for it.

GirgleMirt elluded to the fact that because some one makes a mistake with their kid, thay are a bad parent and stupid person. Oh let me correct myself; ****ing stupid person. I like that word.

I called his bluff.
What bluff are you talking about?

If the result of this mistake is the death of child, I don't see how you'd qualify as a good parent. And if the only reason your child is alive after one of your actions is because of a so-called miracle, then again, I can assume that you're not such a good parent either... Maybe it's just me, but if you put your child in a situation where only a miracle can save him, you're not a very good parent... And if you allow your child to get run over by a train, you won't qualify for a Nobel prize either, letting that happen is pretty stupid...

Now in this it's arguable that it could considered a freak accident... But in a very windy day, near train tracks such a these, I'd make sure my child wouldn't fall in it and then get run over by a train... But that's just me... Obviously, some don't seem to think the same.

It's the parent's responsibility to care for the child... If you fail to control your children and allow them to get into dangerous situations, then you've fail in your role of a parent...

GirgleMirt, I’m not sure where all your anger & discontent comes from (and frankly, I don’t care) but it certainly isn’t rooted in this thread. Take it from someone with a lot of experience in this matter – going through life angry at the world is no way to live.
I'm not sure where you thought I was angry or discontent, I'm not, as I said, I simply have no patience nor empathy for stupid people. Stupid people usually reap what they sow, if you walk around in life without a care in the world, oblivious to everything, and get your baby run over by a train, or get your legs crushed because you're not looking where you're walking, then so be it.

But I don't see how any of the cases here qualify as a miracle. A miracle involves a divine intervention, where the hell was god when the baby carriage was pushed down the tracks? Why didn't he just not blow the child down the tracks to get run over by the train? That wasn't in his divine plan? You people see miracles everywhere. Even in toast for Christ sakes... Personally, I don't really see a miracle in the child's survival.

You can see from the angle of the fall that the carriage falls on top of the child, therefore, the baby is lying on the ground, with the carriage over him. There's obviously enough room for baby underneath the train, and looking at the velocity of the carriage he just seemed to land dead center on the tracks. You could probably easily reproduce the event with a small sack of potatoes and a similar carriage, and the potatoes would also likely not get damaged. It's not as if the baby divinely flew back in her mother's arms... That would be quite the feat to replicate with a sack of potatoes and I'd probably qualify that as a miracle... Or if the carriage and baby divinely reappeared next to the mother in a flash of light... That I'd probably would have qualified as a miracle. But I don't see anything miraculous about the event... Don't get me wrong, it's fantastic that the baby wasn't killed because of a lack of attention of her mother, it's absolutely great, but I don't see how it could be qualified as a miracle.

And don't even get me started on those medieval creationists and their earth is 5000 years old and dinosaurs lived next to humans silliness...

Hey there Girgle why dont you investigate your stupid breakdancer story a little closer, it was not a freaking dance floor it was a public walkway and the dancers were actually causing a dangerous situation by their actions, the area became overcrowded and unsafe, blocking the way to emergency exits, those morons were breaking the law by loitering in a public walkway.
Link? Where did you get that information?

You sound a little bit like a mall cop or like if you're part of some sort of law enforcement or civil servant...

It seems that nobody had a problem with the dancers, there was ample room for the dancers to dance around without injuring anybody, as you can see the break dance circle was very well established. It's not like the break dancer all of a sudden exploded into breakdancing amongst an unaware and unprepared crowd of people was a danger to everyone around him... Everybody knew well the dance circle boundaries, it seems except for this one kid and her oblivious sorry excuse of a mother...

I agree though that it was bad to block the emergency exits, if they had unblocked them, more people could have got in and watch the awesome break dancing! Bad move on the part of the crowd...

The moral of that story would be this, no miracle needed to protect that child, if they were in fact dancing on a dance floor where most "dancers" perform the child would have never walked any where near the moron.
How about this, the moral of the story is watch your damn kids! If you allow them to run off to places where they have absolutely no business, like where some dude is flipping around like a manic, or where 500 000lbs vehicles pass by at great speeds, then you're putting your child in great danger...

That's what sucks with stupid parents, kids don't know any better and will do stupid things, but parents should be there to take care of them and not allow these kind of situations happen... It sucks that it's the kids who get hurt, and not the bad parents...

But hey, religion isn't my thing. If what you get out of this is the greatness of god and yet another proof of his divinity and existence with yet another miracle, and think that a baby allowed to get run over by a train is a positive thing, because he survived, then go ahead... Guess we don't all see things the same way... But if my wife was this woman, and allowed my child to get thrown down train tracks like that, you can be sure I'd be damn pissed... Some people just don't think... It amazes me... "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe."

Wow, must be great to go through life perfect - mistake and error free. I wonder if JerryLove knows someone is working his side of the street.

Yeah, it's especially great in bed, one time though a girl I slept with wasn't fully satisfied, but that was only because her two friends were much hotter than she was and honestly, these two unbelievably hot nymphos simply couldn't get enough of me... So hard is the life of a gigolo...

wow, that's a sweet bridge.

I can tell it was well-engineered because it was designed using a computer.
