Using Benq Joybee GP1 as PC monitor?

I'm going to be moving to Argentina soon and I need a monitor for the small form factor PC I'm going to bring with me. Unfortunately they have ridiculous import taxes on all things electronic (electronics cost 2 to 3 times as much as in the states). This means either paying ridiculous prices for a monitor in Argentina or bringing my used monitor from home. I'd like to avoid packing my monitor and checking it in for my flight so I was thinking of using the Benq joybee gp1 as my pc monitor (I'll be bringing the pc as carry on luggage).

Any advice as far as feasibility? Are there other portable solutions that I might be missing? Hope you can help.

Cheers,
MB

The Benq Joybee looks like an awesome projector I think... but honestly I don't think any 800x600 projector can be a replacement for a computer monitor... You're going to have all sorts of resizing / cropping issues. As a SECONDARY monitor it can work, but I don't think you want to use it for a primary....

It has capability to Pc monitor, so there is not a problem if you use it. Once hooked up, the only adjustments to make on the projector itself is the focus.

I totally agree with quicke60 i cant use mine if the resolution are under 1024x786........ For secondary monitor it would be a fantastic addition.
