This isn't really a new video but I haven't seen much about it. Still, our Congress sucks and next year, I hope we can get rid of the shyteheads and do something about the problems we have instead of allowing the illegals to come here to be sponsored by taxpayers. Of course, this will cost non-payers little, other than in higher prices brought on by higher costs to businesses.

No, not about me being a racist. She knows better. But she went through a lot to get here the right way. The idea that others will skate through drives her crazy. Every time they mention the word amnisty on the news, she starts yelling at my TV. I keep telling her that my TV had nothing to do with it, but she just gives me the look. You know, the one that could burn a hole in the side of you head. The one that says, "just one more word sucka and you're dead."

I want government to do it's job and stop trying to run my life and tell me what I can or cannot do or can or cannot say or think.

PROTECT the borders, DEFEND the country's citizens, and stay out of daily life. We have laws for laws of laws and regulation of regulations. It is disgusting. Nearly all of it is propagated by the crooks in office and those contributing to get them elected to change the rules in their favor.

Just to agree with you a little bit here let me say that a friend once had something similar to say about laws. Something about people going through the most devious means imaginable to get them passed ... his point was that he in no way felt obligated to obey them or waste his time knowing them.

Hmmm. Somehow "free trade" and "social market economy" just seem so...oh, I don't know...antithetical. "Free" of course meaning free, and "social market economy" meaning governmental controlled assets, targeted economic redistribution, and statutory restrictions on "free trade". "Social justice"? Just a PC term for socialism.

Being a liberal and being a socialist are two stunningly different beasts, django1. One espouses fair social causes, the other Marxist government. The latter is not the cup of tea of many, including "liberals", who still believe in the fundamental laws of this country, including the Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution, and I think many of us still prefer "free market" capitalism and true freedom to Marxist dictatorship of the proletariat and nationalization of the economy.

But besides all that....you completely missed Alex's joke. I'll let you figure it out for yourself...but a hint...it has to do with the "dis" part.

This belief is widely espoused throughout the world but rarely found in practice and is certainly not practiced by modern day "liberals" who share no resemblance with the classical meaning of the term liberal.

Appropriation of words with positive connotations for less than honorable purposes is common in politics, take "hope" for example.

They would if the weasels would come out and face the pissed off masses. OTOH, Wisconsin has enough weasels that they'd just go into a feeding frenzy on anything they can find.

How, exactly, do they justify paying DAs from part of our energy bills? Since when is a utility that's owned by stockholders (even if it's a monopoly in that part of the state) allowed to collect taxes for the government? I don't care if they do call it a surcharge, if it's used to fund the state, it's a tax.
