Is it okay to stack receivers on other components?

If you have the 4" of clearance than the fans really would not be needed, unless you want to install one on the back of the cabinet for extra security.

Okay good, because I was about to have a fit. Making room for 4 inches of space plus adding in a fan somehow is just beyond my limits. If I really had to do that I would definitely scrap the project.

I like these when space is limited, link:http://www.tvshelves.com/sanus_top.htm.
It is a shelf that goes on top of the TV a perfect place for your cable box and then everything is in it's place. :)
Yeah these are interesting, but I have a Plasma, so these would not work for my situation. Good idea though for those who have CRTs.

Antec makes a AV board where you can put on top of your receiver and stack your cable box on top. So all you need to do is take one shelf off.

I went to their site, but didn't see what you are talking about...unless I am misunderstanding. Do you have a link?

Hmmm...very interesting. The reviews are fairly good for it, although they say it looks nicer and more substantial in the picture than it is in person. I still may give this a look if my receiver runs too hot. We'll see if it becomes necessary.

Thanks for the link. You are a lazy man's best friend :D
