The boring thread car talk made me want to have an AH car show!

Here we go: nothing fancy, just the pics of my and my family's cars and such over the years. I'll start out with my cars:

Here is the '88 Ford Mustang I had in high school. It was very fast and fun. I won an award at the local car show the two years I entered it - the first for best engine and the second for best paint. I sold it to buy a 4WD to come to college and really missed it when it was gone.

Here is the POS 1998 Tahoe SLT that replaced my beloved Mustang. It supposedly had a new engine with a full 3 year warranty when I bought it. It dropped a rod through the piston at 1 year and a few weeks after I bought it so that I could find out that it never actually had a new engine, but just had work on the rods which had a 1 year warranty. I had to pay to get a new engine (my parents had to help me out quite a bit on that), and the dealer offered to trade it up for above book value on another Tahoe with 35000 miles, so I took them up on that...

Here is the newer, loaded 2000 Tahoe Z71. It was fun while it lasted. The intake manifold cracked open and blew antifreeze and oil all over the place. I was on a trip and was so frustrated I traded it in on a Ford.

While I had the Tahoe II, I missed my Mustang so bad that I wanted another one, and that era are relatively cheap. I bought a 1991 Mustang on eBay to tweak around with for fun. I did a full Alpine stereo system and some performance modifications. Then, I found some power leather seats from an almost one-of-a-kind 2001 Mustang FR500 concept (I think they made four, actually) on eBay. I threw a bid on them and didn't think there was any chance I would win but I did. It took some creativity to get them in the '91, but the results were stunning, to me at least. The last thing I did was paint it from blue and silver to red, because that is how I roll. I did all of the prep and body work (there wasn't much), and took it to Colorado to have it painted. Sadly, money troubles forced me to sell it in 2007.

Finally, my 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Adrenalin, which I replaced Tahoe II with, has served me very well since 2005. I put in a touchscreen video system in it to go with the very impressive stock Pioneer system and a rear view camera, off-road shocks, a cold air intake, and some got some nice Michelins earlier this year.

Most of this game of musical cars was funded by my little HT design gig I had going throughout college, which was awfully handy. :D

That will do for now. Who's next? :D

Not quite as fancy of a photo, but at least she's clean. :D
She cleans up well. Are those NHT boxes I see? :)

You and your tidy house and tidy garage. You need a hobby. ;)

Yes, sir! Of course, I scanned the image for anything that I wouldn't want to show. :)
Always a good thing to do, else you end up on FailBlog or something.

I have that same ladder. :)

I don't have pics around of any of my older rides but here is my latest purchase.

2010 Mazda 3 5dr. Very fun car. 6 speed manual, 17" wheels and comes stock with most power features. The only option we got was the power moon roof and 6 disk 10 speaker sound system. I also added the Thule rack system for bikes and skiis.

Our other family car is a Nissan Altima. Also a great car. Fantastic ride quality and gas mileage.

Before these we had a Pontiac Vibe, a couple of Xterras and a Nissan pickup. I really liked the Xterras but the amount of driving we do the gas was killing us.

Wow, I own a mustang and sport trac as well.
Cool, man. It looks like you have some major engine upgrades on the Stang. It almost looks like a drag engine. :D

That looks like a fun car. I didn't know you could get those with a six speed, but that is outstanding.

Nissan definitely makes good stuff. My parents have had quite a few Nissans themselves. My dad's company has 2 Pathfinders and 2 Frontiers, and my dad also has a Pathfinder. He has been looking at a 2010 Nismo 370Z, so we will see where that goes. He wants it but doesn't want to trade his '07 Mustang. :)

I like it. I saw my first Mazdaspeed3 with the new body style the other day and I really liked the look of it. A lot more aggressive than the previous generation, which I also liked. I am seriously considering one of these as my next car.

I really wanted the speed3 but there were not any available around me.:( It also would have made my payment 40 bucks more a month. 100 more horsepower would have been so much fun.:D The speed3 is a good deal as well for around 23 grand. If I trade in 3 years I am definately going to upgrade.

Those are indeed some sweet seats!! You sir, have good taste in cars. Glad to see you're sticking with American vehicles, (even though I dislike bowties :p).

I have had 4 Mustangs, (86 GT convertible, 92 LX convertible that had engine and suspension from the 86 put in it, 95 GT coupe, and now this one).

2007 GT with FRPP suspension and Bullitt CAI. Shelby GT brakes are next, when I finally have $800 to throw away.

Sounds like you are as much a fox body fan as I am.

The 07 GT is very nice! My parent's have the 2007 GT as well - I will have to post pics of that later. Did the Ford Racing suspension make an amazing difference? We thought about it but didn't want to lower it at all because we thought the looks of the tire/fender reveals were absolutely perfect with the stock suspension. I keep trying to convince them they just need to trade up to a GT500, but that is a no go. Maybe after they bring the 5.0 back in 2012 I will be getting into another one myself! :)

My dad and I rebuilt a '65 coupe and they had a 2001 GT as well. I used that one to take out an antelope , but we got it fixed off of ebay parts and actually made quite a bit of money from the insurance. I figure I will probably post pictures of those as well, at some point...

Hey, I dislike (or hate...) the Bowtie too, after all of the crap I went through with those two Chevy Tahoes. To top it off I got stranded in the middle of Boston with a rental 2009 Malibu that died at a stop light this last weekend at 2am! Give me the blue oval any day. :D
