long story short i have an unused onkyo ds777 sitting in a box in the basement...i think i am going to set it up in my master bedroom. anyhow id like to get in the wall speakers and maybe in wall sub... maybe looking to spend less than $500 for an either 2.1 or 5.1... not sure what route to go, i want the versatility to rearrange my bedroom furniture if i want. so i was thinking in the ceiling would be the way to go... but i dont know what to do about the center ch. i know some tvs allow the speakers to be used as center but then it would be matched...

just wanting to get some ideas...

thanks guys....

The ability to re-arrange the room will be lost with built-in speakers. I'd say go with some small bookshelf speakers, since I doubt you want some hulking monsters in your bedroom. Lots of companies make good ones, but the SVS SBS-01 offer a lot of bang for the buck.

i was thinking if i did a 4ch set up and labeled everything, it would just be a matter of changing the wiring at the back of the receiver... but you through in a 5th ch and it screws everything up....

You could do that, as long as it's okay for the receiver not to move. As for the center channel, you could simply do that one as a free standing, or do two of them built in, one at each end (assuming your re-arranging would be limited to A or B.
