are they good enough or just as good as a dedicated cd player? i just played my gold edition cd of The Wall on my panasonic DMP-BD60 and i can definitely hear a difference between that and my 128 bit copy on my ipod.
Is there a big difference from let's saysa $200-300 cd player and a decent blu-ray player (is mine decent?..lol)

one more question i am currently redownloading my 300 or so cds with Apple Lossless Encoder, do you find that this makes for a decent playback compared to the cd.

thanks

128kbps copy is likely to be not that great, so you are almost certainly going to hear a difference between that and a CD every day of the week.

At this point, DVD and BD players are all pretty good at playing CDs and you aren't going to see a huge difference in sound in similar price ranges.

Yes, I think Apple lossless would be sufficient to listen to vs CD.

It should, in fact, be 100% identical to cd - that's the point of "lossless" formats.

I second that jgarcia,
The difference between them is not too much, personally i had a Samsung's BD-P4600 and is pretty much the same quality.
