Furniture (Center Speaker)

I am looking for a tv stand (black) that will hold the EMP 5ECi (21¾" W x 7¼" H x 7¾" D). Ideally, I would like to have a center compartment for it. I have search everywhere and I can't find one. The only one that comes close, is the StudioTech U-22D Cabinet – Black. Although, going that route requires the pillars and the the wall rack since the only way to fit the center speaker is to put it on top of the stand, with the TV hanging on the rack. I also did not want to drop that kind of bank for it. Please advise.

P.S. The EMP package is awesome. I love these speakers.

I use the Plateau SR-V (75) and it easily houses my Studio CC 590 which is 9-5/16H x 26-1/4W x 12-5/8D. They also have some new models out this year that may work. I just left the glass doors off of mine as I thought it looked better that way.

Racks and Stands is one of the best places that I have found to buy credenzas/stands.

Are those the Studio's 100? How good are they compare to the Signature's line? Thanks.

I like the Sigs better but not at their price point. The Studios are very good speakers and will likely stay with me for quite some time.

Make sure you listen to this Dawg guy when it comes to shopping recommendations, or any other recommendations, for that matter. He knows things...secret things nobody should know...and he has secret shopping skills nobody should have...and he has really nice speakers...and a really nice pool...and he used to have some fancy liquor he got from a monkey, but he finished that already. I am actually pretty jealous. :D

Eh, looking at the center speaker not sure if this will work for you even, but this is the stand I use-
http://www.standsonline.com/Free-Shipping/Elite-996-EL-996-TV-Stand-up-to-65-TVs__ELITE-996.aspx

The top shelf has a 7" opening, my speaker is 7 1/4" tall. I put the speaker on the top shelf before putting the glass on the top and it fits fine. The speaker has a little space at the top so even though it overlaps with the top support bar a bit, the bar doesn't block the tweeter/woofer. I also paid quite a bit less than that for the stand.

I second ParadigmDawgs recommendation of checking out the racksandstands.com website. They have a very extensive selection in various styles, sizes and construction materials. I spent almost a full evening looking at their website but alas, I don't think they make a console that has a speaker compartment large enough to fit a Paradigm Studio 690 (my reference for a center speaker size) and fits my criteria concerning style and construction so I am going to make my own concole. I'm pretty excited about making my own as I will be able to make it exactly to the specifications I want - size-wise, style-wise and qulaity-wise.

You could also check out standoutdesigns.com as they have some pretty nice looking units as well. Not sure if they are within your budget or not but they seem to be well constructed and they look nice IMO. And I think that at least some of their units have a nice sized center speaker compartment. I bet if you talked with them they could also make some alterations to fit whatever needs you may have.

Good luck,

Matt

Somebody wants something from somebody. Good thing the Dawg guy already finished the liquor. :)

This is my stand, I highly recommend it if you don't need things put away...

It looks even better than it does in the picture. Im most likely getting the EMPs to go with it and it is going to look amazing, because they will match. The wood is a lot darker/redder than the picture makes it look. This is it...
