Missing 'connector' between binding posts on speaker

I don't know what the proper "name" for the connector is that I'm talking about. It's the connector that connects the two negative/positive terminals on the speakers if you're not going to bi-amp or bi-wire them.

I have a picture of what I mean, but I'm a n00b, so not allowed to post it to the forum.

If I want to do a temporary hack job, can I use tin foil or some other kind of wire?

Sorry in advance for what I deem to be a stupid question.

Thanks!

I am sure that the same speaker wire you are running to the avr would work just fine, I wouldn't use foil , no way.The piece you are missing are called the jumper bars.

Hah - I just thought of the same thing. I don't know why I didn't think of that earlier. Already in the process of connecting it using speaker wire. Thanks!

You can use speaker wire instead of the jumper.

You could also contact the speaker manufacturer's spare parts department and buy the part for a couple of bucks. Its probably less than the shipping cost.
