So a few of you may know that life has been a little tough for me this past year.

Things have started to look up in these past few months :) I was recently employed as a pizza delivery guy (hey, its work, I'm no complaining). I've started schooling again. I ended up sticking to what I'm good at and what I love, music. I'm either going to succeed, or die trying.

I had a great bit of success today as well. My theory teacher was worried that I wasn't learning the material as I didn't purchase a book. He was surprised when I told him that I've been playing tuba for half my life. I'm usually modest about my 'talents' but I boast my playing. I've worked pretty damn hard to get where I'm at, and I should proud of that. So he immediately grabbed a horn and sent it my way. So I've got about 2-3 weeks to get back up to snuff before I start playing in the schools symphonic winds band. I would have given anything to start playing again. I feel so lucky that I've been given the opportunity again.

It's been a bumpy ride...now all I need is a hot babe to enjoy the ride with me!

Also, I got my license back.

Hey Wafflesomd I'm glad things are looking up for you. That sound like a great opportunity for you to get back into playing. Keep positive and let us know how things progress.

Good to hear dude. I suggest you enjoy singleness during college. Woman are trouble and will sabotage the GPA. Once you are into your last few semesters then you can start keeping an eye out.

There are quite a few hot artsy-babes that love musicians... just let them know you're packing the biggest instrument (shy of a pianist).

But maybe ISiberian is right. They will ruin your GPA. Fortunately, I'm well established in my field (no proverbial GPA to hurt), so if you send the college hotties my way I'll "take one for the team"... or perhaps 2-3.

Never have truer words been spoken. :D Once you get out of college, they sabotage other things besides GPA.

Congrats on getting in on the upswing. I hope it lasts a long time for you.

Yeah but I wouldn't trade the suffering for single life again.:)
