Hey guys, I new to this site and was hoping someone could help me out.
I recently purchased a Yamaha V465 from Best Buy. Seemed like what I needed for the price I was able to spend. Tons of inputs. Connected to it is a brand new 52ince Sharp Aquos 1080p and a PS3 for blu-ray. Sounds great. Overall I am satasified. Now for my question. Each time I turn on my TV or switch between HDMI (Blu-ray to TV or TV to blu-ray) I get a message on my TV that says "An incompatable audio signal have been received, please check your out put connection". Message stays on the screen for about 5 seconds or so then dissapears with no effect on sound or picture quality (other then the message on the screen itself). Everythin being used is brand new. TV-receiver-PS3-HDMI cables. Everything is connected the way it should be. Does anyone have any idea what that message means?

Thanks-
Frank

How is your TV connected to your recevier? Which inputs are you using on the receiver and which outputs are you using from the tv to the recevier?

The only TV to receiver connection is the HDMI out from the receiver to the TV. I am using two of the HDMI inputs on the receiver. 1 from my FIOS cable box to the receiver and 1 from my PS3 to the receiver. As of right now I have nothing else plugged into the receiver

I don't have my receiver hooked up yet to my Vizio LCD but I do have a standard def/upconverting DVD player connected to the Vizio via HDMI. If I power up the LCD and power up the DVD player and then switch teh input from my satelite receiver to the DVD player I get the message "resyncing data" and then I get the output after about 5 seconds. What I suspect is happenening is a delay of configuration of your TV on power up and its flagging the audio becuase its not finished being configured.
