Gladiator Sapphire Serirs not playing on my PS3 Slim

Has anyone else had a problem with this my Gladiator Sapphire Series not playing on my slim, I even exchanged the disc thinking it might have been a bad one. But no,still won't play. I bought Braveheart as well on the Sapphire Series, it plays fine. Any ideas on what's going on?? Thanks.

Have you checked to see if you need a firmware update on your PS3

There is no firmware update. The slim shipped with 3.0 which is the latest. I will give it a try (though I have an original 60G), but had no problems playing it in the Oppo.

Yes i did an update yesterday ver. 3.1 and still won't play

I checked mine and it didn't say anything about 3.1 being available yesterday?

Have you called Sony to tell them about this?

It's not 3.1, it's 3.01 and you have to manually check for updates, as this isn't a mandatory update.

It's mainly to fix some freezing issues people were having with Uncharted: Drakes's Fortune, and some possible movie playback issues. The people over at blu-ray forums were saying the 3.01 updated fixed the gladiator playback issues, but I can't confirm this since I didn't try to play it back on my PS3, but it plays back fine on my PC.

I tried it out and it worked fine on mine with 3.0. Got 3.01 installed as well.

Thanks everyone for trying to help me. I posted this on blu ray forum and i had to go to my crossbar to the video then go to BD utility erase Gladiator from the memory, then insert the movie and it played with no problems. Once again thanks all for trying to help me.
