Well, look no further. It has.

Sherman, set the wayback machine to 1991.

If you'll note, the big difference here is that today, it was the public doing the protesting, not our elected officials whining and conniving in private.

I saw that article earlier today. I wonder if the dems and the NEA will demand an inquiry this time.

The IMPORTANT difference here is...

Unlike the Obama speech, in 1991 most of the controversy came after, not before, the president's school appearance.

Seriously, I have no life.
They went nuts over spending $27,000? Obama is causing the national debt to surpass all previous national debt COMBINED and they probably spent more than the $27K just on meals and hotel reservations.

Pelosi's jet makes this look like pocket change.

This is great. The big crapstorm over his political agenda, and since it didn't pan out in even the slightest, let's just move onto another avenue of challenge. Typical of narrow-minded people, regardless of party affiliation/race/gender/beliefs.

"I was wrong, so I'll find another way to be justified in my whining!!!"

Chalk up one for Obama on this one; they played right into his hand.
Regardless of the critics being right or wrong. It was foolish to comment on the speech before it was given.
The smart politician would change his speech just before it was given; and that's exactly what he did.

Speaking of things that didn't pan out in the slightest:
It was contended that Americans were too raciest to vote for Obama. Unfortunately Mr. Obama jumped too soon on that band wagon.
Before the election at a Jacksonville fundraiser
Barack Obama said, "They're going to try to make you afraid of me. He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. And did I mention he's black?"

We don't even know what Obama's political agenda is but we do have some clues. So far, Obama wants to:

1. Silence opposition radio stations.
2. Shut down the internet at the whim of the president.
3. Direct the business activity of the Banks, automakers, oil and other companies.
4. Seize the wealth of successful Americans.
5. Deploy armed federal troops throughout the nation.

As to the health care debate, forget it. I think it's just whitewash to disguise what's really going on in Washington today.

I'll bet you're a white male (read: angry & racist) and old (read: not in your twenties & a not renting or living w/parents)
Give the polished, well spoken community organizer a chance, it's only been eight months.

Just because you're older and have heard the empty promises of 'all' politicians before, and refuse to be fooled again.
Doesn't mean you have to spoil it for the young and idealistic college crowd.:D:rolleyes::D

Hell yeah Rickster. Let us be duped for once. You guys have been holding us back since birth. Let us enjoy empty promises and false ideas. You guys had Reagan we go Obama. Let us have our hero. Then when we are done we'll give the job to someone who lies for the other side. :D

I hope you are not referring to the Reagan era as a mistake. The White House could use Reagan's integrity and dedication to freedom and democracy right now.
