Last Friday I went to the bank (Bank of America customer) to make an unusual deposit on my saving account (saving is not one of my virtues
), so I came up to the teller and asked him to deposit this cash on my saving account and the conversation went something like this:
Teller: which saving account???
Me: what do you mean???
Teller: you have 2 saving accounts, the regular one, and the "Keep the Change".
Me: And how much does that one have????
Teller: USD700.
Me: what???????....
I had completely forgotten about that one which I opened 3 years ago. I don't know if you guys are familiar with it, but what it does is each time you buy something with your Bank of America Check Card, they’ll round up your purchase to the nearest dollar amount and transfer the difference from your checking account to your savings account (exact words from the BofA website)....so I guess it worked for me. The only problem I have now is that knowing that I have that money, I'll find a way to spend what took me 3 years to save, in less than a day
