The circuits have to be mechanically coupled to the chassis. While sound cannot travel trough a vacuum, what about all the mechanical vibration being passed along the materials used to keep the vacuum in place? Anyone that buys into the vacuum snake oil deserves to spend $25K on a sub. Can you imagine what they spend on the rest of their system. Oh boy! that thought just made me a little giddy

Surely the circuits are not magnetically levatated in the middle of the vacuum chamber, with wireless signal and power transmission... that would be cool though. That said, if they can make electronics and optics (and some pretty delecate ones at that) that survive a space launch, subs are nothing

If this is indeed true, that would be quite an accomplishment. It pretty much assures that there is no cabinet resonance... and if the wine surface does show a ripple, it is probably from the sound wavers themselves
