I did a search, didn't see this movie mentioned (expect for 1 post), so I though I would make a thread.

A friend of mine works at a Music/Movie store (HMV). He's quite up to date on what's good, and what's not, and the first movie he recommended was In Bruges. I had never heard of it, and they didn't have stock at the time, so I didn't end up seeing it for quite some time.

However, on Friday I did manage to see it (unexpectedly), and I now understand why it was so highly recommended. Drama, Action, Comedy, Thriller - all in 1 movie. It never drags, you're always fascinated and drawn to the screen. The Characters are brilliant, and the film has a Lock Stock and 2 Smokin' Barrels feel (though slightly more disorganized).

I highly recommend this film, it's been the best film I've seen all summer, by a long shot. It is out on DVD, and rental.

I liked it too. Not great, but good enough. I'd like to sit in one of those ancient streets and drink coffee.

I watched it on cable a couple of weeks ago. Great scenery; so-so movie. Had some very, very funny parts though, and worth seeing I thought.

Pretty much what I think. I just thought it was amazing because I had heard almost nothing about it.

It was mainly a British movie...most of them don't get much press in the US. It's currently sitting at #202 on the IMDB top 250 so it's gotten significant votes from somewhere.

Watched this one tonight on BD. I am a fan of British humor and I thought this one was pretty good as well. Funny, violent and very entertaining.

Good example of the dialog:

Ken: Coming up?
Ray: What's up there?
Ken: The view.
Ray: The view of what? The view of down here? I can see that down here.
Ken: Ray, you are about the worst tourist in the whole world.
Ray: Ken, I grew up in Dublin. I love Dublin. If I grew up on a farm, and was retarded, Bruges might impress me but I didn't, so it doesn't.

You gotta that it's a pretty, old city. Medieval town squares, towers and all that. Perfect place for a murder.

What a coincidence! Mine did too. I loved it.

"You hit the Canadian." :D

"A bottle !!!"

Lots of instances of humor and I'm a big fan of the F-Bomb so this was huge for me. Oh ... lets not forget humorous violence. That's always a crowd pleaser. For f^%& sake, they had a midget !!! :)
