How's this for off topic on our forum?
I have a woman clean my house once a month. She works for a service and I actually hired them. She is my contact and does all the work though.
I always leave a check for the company and she takes it with her. Should I be giving her an extra 15-20% as a tip? That would be at least $12 extra.
She does do a good job and I'm happy with her. Last year I gave her a bonus at Christmas of $50 and she seemed super happy.
Should I just stick with the Christmas bonus or should I be tipping her?
Thanks for your opinions.

I don't know. How cute is she:)

I would think it would be appropriate if she does a good job.

If you are happy with her work, give her a tip.

If you are going to tip her do not put it in the check. Give her cash or write another check. This way she does not have to claim it or fight over it with the company she works for.

We usually tip our house cleaners. We kinda crapped the bed last year and didn't realize that there are two different crews that clean our house, so one of them got screwed. I just hope the crews don't talk to each other.
