If the election turned out differently and there were an equal number of conspiracies floating around about McCain/Palin I promise this thread would still exist although one word would have changed up top .

Andrew, does this mean that you believe dialog or discourse about the condition of our country and the massive economic crisis that it faces is a bunch of blather and 'do-do-do-do-do'? I'd call it being a concerned citizen.

I would have sworn that you had a strong social conscience. So what am I missing here?

I would agree, actual discourse about the situation of the country and its future is necessary to encourage growth. That said, this is not what seems to be happening throughout the nation on many topics. Rather it is a yelling match, not based on fact but based on emotion. Both sides seem to be digging trenches and I see such a situation far from conducive for reasoned discourse.

I would have sworn that you had a strong social conscience. So what am I missing here?

I was in no way trying to stifle debate, rather I am satirizing the notion that Obama's presidency is the doom of the nation.

I seriously doubt the government would have stuffed their nose into industry and the markets the way this bunch did. I can't imagine they would have done similar things, at all.

It might not be so bad if the Democrats didn't have majorities in both the House and Senate. Any whim of the socialists in power can become law virtually unopposed. It's not just Obama but also Pelosi, Reid, Frank, et al. never mind the whack jobs that Obama has appointed as czars.
