How I can to get the best sound from My Main Speakers(Pinnacle P-5.2) 8 Ohms..?
I have One yamaha A/V receiver RX-V630 with impedance selector switch but I do not know if is better to use just One main of pair speakers Switching on Right (If you use one set of main speakers, the impedance of each speaker mustbe 8 Ω or higher. "or" 2 pairs of speakers switching on left(If you use two sets of main speakers, the impedance of each speaker mustbe 8 Ω or higher). I have one pair of Sony speakers 8 Ohms available to be attached on left position but when I added these I am hearing decrease the sound from My Pinnacle speakers . What you reccomend to me?
thanks in advance:)

Only use one pair, the Pinnacles!

Vallenato,

Since you have two different types and manufacturers of main speakers (Sony and Pinnacle) only use the Pinnacles for your mains. Your Sony's are not voice matched to the Pinnacles and using both will not improve your sound quality.

To use only the one set of Pinnacle speakers, set the Yamaha's "Impedance Selector Switch" to the RIGHT position which corresponds to the "If you use one set of main speakers, the impedance of each speakers must be 8 ohms or higher" quote on the manual's page 12.

Furthermore, using both speaker sets (Sony and Pinnacle) at the same time (A+B) is taxing on your receiver's amplifiers and requires the "Impedance Selector Switch" LEFT position to protect the receiver since the two speaker sets share only one set of Yamaha amplifiers in a "parallel" electrical connection inside the receiver.

FYI: The "Impedance Selector Switch" LEFT position decreases the Yamaha's output power as a safety precaution to allow the use of lower impedance (i.e. 4 ohm) speakers. That is why you noticed a decrease in the Pinnacle's sound output. :(

Good Luck,
