is it possible for some1 to give me step by step directions? thanks
Step 1- get the Thiel-Small parameters. Either Rockford-Fosgate or Term Pro software will have them but you'll need to know the actual speaker model number. Show that here and/or google the model number to find the parameters.
Step 2- download the software for speaker box design and load the parameters.
Step 3- use the software to try different designs (or have someone do it for you if you aren't confident/experienced with this)
Step 4- build one or more of the designs and try them out.
If you don't have woodworking skills or tools, go to a local woodworking store like Rockler or WoodCraft and look at their collection of woodworker contacts- I'm sure you could find someone who can build a speaker box for you. If you try this yourself, make sure to use good quality materials (MDF or void-free plywood and yellow wood glue, epoxy or polyurethane glue). I would recommend using screws for the joints. It makes a difference.
Above all- the speaker determines what size and type of cabinet is needed. There's no such thing as making a speaker work in a particular cabinet just because you want to use that one. If the cabinet is right, it'll work and if not, nothing you do will make it work.
