Now I’m ashamed to admit I’m from there. A copy of my email to the team:

Your choice to sign this abomination of a human being sickens and disgusts me. It’s obvious no one in your organization has any regard for decency nor respect. I hope everyone boycotts anything to do with your team.

I was hoping Cleveland would pick Vick up. It would be fun to see the Dog Pound fans give him an appropriate welcome .

I am still in shock over this as well,I thought he went to jail and paid for his crimes, not that makes him any less of a dirtbag. That brings me to this, why is Donte Stallworth allowed to practice, didn't he just KILL somebody, as in a human, dead, buried. Why is Stallworth free right now as we talk.

Im in no way defending Stallworth and think that more than what he did is deserved. The guy he killed was j walking across I195 stretch that runs over Biscayne Bay in the middle of the am hours. This is a six lane road with water on both sides:eek: Who knows if it could have been avoided if Donte wasnt drinking, but the other party played a huge role in his own death. If the mans family wasnt poor at the time, Donte would still be in jail:rolleyes:

but Vick, thats just pure evil:mad:

I was surprised to see him get picked up. I was encouraged that Vick got to spend some time (apparently) with Tony Dungee, who is a strong Christian believer. Since I don't know what Vick has been processing and doing for the past year or so, I can't really sit here and assume that he's unrepentant and shouldn't be given a second chance. If God could give the once-murderous Apostle Paul a second chance, then I think Vick can be given a chance as well...

My hope is that his heart has been forever changed through this.

I hope he does repent for the rest of his life, and that Coach Dungy will help him stay on the right path. I was concerned that his first night out of Club Fed was spent a strip club with a gangsta rapper:(

To me, the two examples here do not indicate a higher value being placed on a dog's life. On the contrary, I think that they clearly show a higher value placed by humans on a human's life. Had Stallworth hit a dog crossing the road, no one would have ever known about it. Had Vick done what he did to other humans, he'd still be appealing the death penalty.

That said, I'm of the belief that they should both be valued.

Some guy's just don't get it! You'd think he should have gone to some homeless shelter or aided some old lady crossing the street. To each their own, I guess...as for Vick repenting he doesn't know the meaning of the word.

Disclaimer: Vick is not an option for me in our draft, even if it means you'll whoop my a$$.;)

I went to the Eagles web page, and signed up for their forums. As you might imagine, the boards are lit up with people on both sides. Here is my last post there:

What I’m thoroughly amazed by is the number of people willing to look the other way because they want their team to succeed. It’s football – it’s a game, nothing more.
However, it is what it has become – a multi-billion dollar industry. What it tries to be is more than the sum of its parts – the NFL wants ALL fans of the game to see the players as iconic, something young people can aspire to, even if not through playing the game itself. Mr. Vick in no way exemplifies the spirit, nor the image the league wants for it’s players, and anyone willing to look past that should be ashamed.

Forget that. Put him in a pit with Jamie. :)

The funny thing is:

These are the fans that booed Santa.

I'm sure the City of Brotherly Love will welcome the POS with open arms.

Nomo, I love ya man but...

"We" didn't just boo Santa..."we" threw snowballs at him...do you know the story behind it?

We = something our grandfathers did. (it happened almost 50 years ago.)

Santa wasn't Santa...He was a stumbling drunk in a bad costume and they called him (and the Eagles) on it.

You should hear the sports talk radio today...very negative towards Vick.

Don't lump all Philly fans together. Passion fuels bad things sometimes and Philly has had it's share but it's because we won't put up with the BS most sports teams or players want us to. We love you if you bust it. We don't if you don't. Anyhow...As always the bad comes from a very small percentage of fans.

While I am not a Boo'er (how do you spell that anyway:confused:) I can relate to the mentality.

No offense intended.
My point was that Philly fans, whether justfied or not, have a bad rep for lack or patience with their sports teams.
I found it ironic that Vick decided to set up camp there. It should be an interesting season.
