No reason to create a thread for this. There are multiple threads already in the steam just on the first page discussing such issues in which you could have just added the link.

New threads popping up on this topic everyday is getting very old (I wish I was a mod  )

Anything Reagan related deserves it's own thread. His legacy should not be muddied with what passes for politicians or policy today.

Wow. Why don't you start up a religion with Reagan as your messiah?

Wow. I will be sure to consult you before every thread I create from now own.

Suggestion: If you see a thread that bothers or seems "very old" to you then don't read it. Why even take the time to criticize?

Pissy today aren't we?
Nah. I just thought that saying that ANYTHING Reagan related deserved it's own thread and talking about his legacy seemed a little fanatical.

The Republican Party works just fine for me. :)

We're bringing him back next time!

Compared to Palin, Mitt, or Huckabee, the decomposing corpse of Reagan actually seems like the best option.

Anybody know where they sell kegs of Febreeze??

Reagan's presidency in 1980 was the last good thing to happen in the United States. He salvaged a dismal economy plagued by stagflation and unemployment and created the longest sustained economic boom in history, simply by employing the common sense lessons of rational economics. In the process, he also defeated the Soviet Union without firing a single shot.

Now, going back to the statistics available from the early 90's, (I don't know if they are available online) the demographic group that gained the greatest economic benefit from Reagan's policies were poor black men. Think what you want about Reagan but know this, Reaganomics works and the economic benefits are clear in the statistics of the day. He brought us all out of a deep recession and restored prosperity to troubled nation. The USA would be a much more prosperous nation today with more Reaganomics and less Obamanomics but it seems that today, people prefer to be rich in rhetoric and poor in pocket. So be it. Some people just don't want to learn from history.

Just to be clear, I adore Ronald Reagan as a man amongst men, a lover of liberty and the values of the USA. This is a man who loved his country and the principles on which it was built. This is a man who dedicated his life to the pursuit of freedom and liberty for all humankind. A man of his courage, conviction, integrity and leadership comes along only once in several generations.

If this sounds fanatical, then I plead guilty.

And that's one of the things that defines a man amongst men from boys on the internet.:p

Not at all but it's good to know that you're not Larry Flint in real life ...

... so who is Davemcc really?

Living in this nest of New England liberalism I guess I am easily freaked out by this level of conservatism because it's usually kept hidden like a mental illness or teen pregnancy. I shouldn't be in this thread but it's the only thing on @ quarter past four. :)

Gotta disagree with you there. I would call the Clinton administration, the last good thing to happen to the U.S. As a minority that was going to college in the 90's, Clinton, enacted NUMEROUS financial aid and tax break policies that DIRECTLY affected me and made my life easier.

Anyone that doubts the good that Clinton did for this country is being blinded by partisan politics. Sure Bill screwed up with the whole Lewinski thing, but you can't deny he was a great President.

Sure, Reagan did enact some positive policies, but he is in no way in line for sainthood as you would have it.

Scores might know where to get it in volume.

Are they still open?
