well i'ma play with moving the sub around after i get a longer cable so i can try more than just the 2 front corners. if you put a sub nearfeild wouldnt that kinda kill the effect of having bass from the front? i mean i know bass is omnidirectional, but wouldnt it be easy to locate it that close to your seat?

I dont think it matters as long as you can hear it to your satisfaction.

No, not the deep stuff. Bass starts becoming localizable ~>80 Hz. Try it and see.

+1 on that; I had horrible placement options in my first digs and had to put the sub practically right next to the couch--about 2 ft. away from the left side. After I adjusted the xover I couldn't tell where the bass was coming from as it blended sooo nicely with the rest of my speaks. In fact, it was the best bass I ever had in some ways. Now I kinda miss my old place

yeah i'll get a longer cable and mess with placment, but i like having subs in front. i even tried as hard as i could to put subs in the front when i did car stereos.
