I haven't seen this movie in YEARS, so I don't know how well it will hold up. But I remember loving it as a kid.

I watched it on dvd a few years back, my old roommate had picked it up at one of CC's $3.99 dvd sales. I enjoyed watching it again. It was cheesy and looked kinda made for tv, like most low budget 70's flicks do, but it was still a good story and much better than I expected it to be. Still, I'd only buy it if it was under $7 on BD, even then I'd have to be looking for something to hit $25 for Amazons free shipping.

I remember that when I first saw it on TV, I thought it was a made for TV film. I was surprised to find out later that people actually saw it at a cinema.

One of the great things about BD is that it allows you to see the details of cheesy films. I imagine it would be fun; but I own that one on DVD, and I doubt I will ever upgrade it to BD.

I've got the last starfighter on dvd a few years back for $3.99. It's still an entertaining flick, I've watched it a half dozen times since I bought it. Not worth the double dip for me though.
