Are the new amps just plug and play ...I hope
Glad to hear SVS fixed you up so quickly. It should be a fairly easy change out. The only thing to take note of is that the screws are not your typical type. They require the "square recess" type of screw driver (not exactly sure what it's called).

They ship you a new square head driver bit with the amp for replacement...

That is also a great sign of CS... SVS has always been head and shoulders above the rest for looking out for the Customer !!!!!

Yes. Remove the driver and take off the leads, remove and replace the amp, reconnect the leads and replace the driver. With the front firing model, I don't know if you even have to remove the driver. Either way, it'll take about a half hour and even then only because it's a lot of screws holding the driver and amp in place.
Thanks Dave hopefully I wont have to remove the driver but if so its ok at least i'll be back in business before long :D

Ya I know I was pretty bummed considering I only had it for a few months but there excellent customer service and being so understanding really made me feel so much better about the situation. Im sure its very rare that the amps go out because SVS Builds such quaility audio equipment . When you look at and hear the sub it just screams quailty :)

I agree, I couldn't be happier with SVS, top quality products, and the best customer service in the industry.

My guess is if you ever need to remove the driver, you are going to need some special tools, and would probably need to send it to SVS to be done. That driver weighs about 60 lbs by itself, and would be very difficult for one person to remove I think. You should not have to remove it to replace the amp.

They source their amps I believe. Plate amps can have defects, but it's an easy fix usually.
